House Hunters International Produces Two Episodes in Fiji
Suva - House Hunters International is shooting two episodes in Fiji in May. The announcement was made by the Fiji Audio Visual Commission this afternoon after details of the production were confirmed. The two episodes will be filmed back-to-back.

FAVC Chairperson, Sharon Smith-Johns said that the first episode features a couple buying a home on Koro Island, and the second features a couple buying a home on Viti Levu. Both couples are from the United States.

Each of the productions is a reality show which centers on a couple who travel to different places to buy a vacation home. For the next two episodes of  "House Hunters", homes have been selected in Fiji, over other exotic locations. Ms. Smith-Johns added that the participants will be looking at three homes for each episode and the Shows will be highlighting the ways in which real estate is purchased in Fiji by foreigners. The Show's producers advise that their real estate consultants have found excellent custom built homes in Fiji to show the homebuyers and these will be showcased on the program.

Adding to Ms. Smith-Johns' comments, FAVC's Manager Marketing & Public Relations, Florence Swamy said that a lot of scenic footage will also be filmed and shown on the two shows. This, she said, will present Fiji as a striking tourist destination and a great film production location.

Whilst the homes that will eventually be purchased have been selected, details cannot be released as this will most definitely spoil the surprise for viewers. House Hunters International is a Show that airs on HGTV (Home and Gardens Television) in the US and in many countries throughout the world. The two episodes produced in Fiji will air in November and December this year.

"Fiji will receive a lot of exposure on primetime TV in thge United States as a result of this show airing and the spin-offs for us will be enormous," said Ms. Smith-Johns. HGTV has a very high viewership of 1-1.5 million at least for its new episodes. It has re-runs after 3 months.
